Community Development
Aligned with SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, our gear redistribution program ensures youth have the essential tools to participate fully in sports. By meeting these needs, we promote resilience and inclusivity while enabling community resources to be reallocated to other critical areas. This approach fosters a supportive environment for young people to thrive and enhances the overall sustainability of local programs.

Barriers to Youth Sports
Case Study in St. Louis, Missouri
There is low sports diversity, defined as the variety of sports offered in schools, in districts where poverty is high. Many schools in under-resourced areas, like those in St. Louis, lack the funding to provide more than a few basic sports programs, limiting opportunities for youth to engage in the benefits of organized sports. Passback, founded in St. Louis, bridges this gap by donating essential equipment to these communities, enabling more children to participate and thrive. Through these efforts, Passback helps ensure that youth, regardless of their socioeconomic background, have the chance to experience the transformative power of sports.
